Sugarloaf Art Fair October 17, 2008

More than 200 of the nation’s most accomplished fine artists and craft designers will present their handcrafted works at the Sugarloaf Art Fair, Friday, October 17 through Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi.

The jury-selected artisans at the Sugarloaf Art Fair will display and sell their unique creations in functional and decorative pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, home décor, home accessories, items for the garden, and photography.

In addition to meeting the artisans producing the one-of-a kind items, visitors to the Art Fair will see live demonstrations by professional craftspeople working in glass and ceramics, and will enjoy live music, including piano standards and original compositions, performances using traditional aboriginal instruments, and music native to Bolivia’s Andes Mountains. A special children’s area will feature interactive fairytales by costumed storytellers. Specialty gourmet foods are available for sampling and purchase, along with a variety of concessions.

Hours for the Sugarloaf Art Fair in Novi are: Friday, October 17 -- 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 18 --10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, October 19 -- 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Adult admission to the Sugarloaf Art Fair is $7 through online purchase, $8 for adults at the door, free for children under 12. Admission is good for all three days. Free parking is available courtesy of Sugarloaf.
