Substance Pre-Holiday Rolling Coffee December 19, 2008

It’s a sad, sad day when we need to postpone riding bikes to get coffee and doughnuts. And that day appears to be Friday, December 19th. We regretfully need to postpone the “rolling” part of Rolling Coffee due to the unpredictable Portland weather. For your safety and the safety of others, it must be done.

But wait! We still pledge to provide delicious coffee and doughnuts on December 19th. 9am at Substance World Headquarters (1551 SE Poplar), we’ll have treats and warm drinks for everyone. AND… if the weather cooperates, we’ll change it from a Rolling Coffee to a Sledding Coffee. BYOS (Bring Your Own Sled) and we’ll head over to what we hear is the neighborhood’s hot sledding spot at SE Stephens and SE 25th. Can’t say we’ve been there in person, but if you’re up for the challenge, and the weather cooperates for sledding, we’ll trudge over and check it out. And if not, there’s always Rock Band.

Be safe, stay warm, and if we don’t see you on Friday hopefully we’ll see you at the soon-to-be-rescheduled Post-Holiday Rolling Coffee in January.

Here’s how it works: meet up at Substance World Headquarters (1551 SE Poplar) at 9am on Friday, December 19th. Bring your bike if you want to participate in the “rolling” part of Rolling Coffee. At about 9:15am, we’ll make our way north to Voodoo Doughnut Too, on the corner of NE Davis and NE 15th (1501 NE Davis). If you’d like to meet us there, we should get there by 9:30am at the latest.
