In this five session class, students will explore the use of artificial lighting through both lecture and hands-on demonstrations. This class will cover the basics of how to improve your images with a variety of artificial light sources. Topics covered will include: using hot lights, understanding the relationship between flash and exposure, using on and off camera (wireless) flash, and using strobe lighting systems in the studio and on location to shoot both portrait and still-life. These topics will aid students in creating greater depth and variety in their photographs. If you are already familiar with the basics of photography and wish to improve your images through the use of various artificial lighting sources then this class is for you.
