Health care providers treating patients impacted by stroke are faced with challenges to best restore function and quality of life. A one-day intermediate level course geared towards practitioners will expand knowledge and skills in the area of stroke management and functional rehabilitation. Morning sessions are focused on medical management strategies. Afternoon sessions provide three specific discipline tracks involving nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/language pathology. Respected providers from the Rochester area will examine best practice strategies utilized across all levels of the health care continuum. The speakers are from acute care, acute rehab, home care, and outpatient settings ensuring that content will be relevant to participants.
