What: Self Help Africa StrEATfest charity event . New Yorkers aim to get water flowing in West Africa later this year –and thousands will get a chance to really dine out on May 14th, when restaurants and bars will move their tables and chairs onto the street for charity.
Organized by the restaurants and bars along Stone Street, the StrEATfest charity event is now in its fourth year.The party begins at noon on May 14th and the cobbled pedestrian street will be filled with tables from all the participating businesses.
Additional Information: This year, as part of the festival, each establishment will be showcasing a specially designed tasting menu to give a flavor of what each eatery provides. These specials range from $5-$10 and include street favorites such as lobster mac ‘n’ cheese from Stone St Tavern, the famous Mad Dog & Beans guacamole and Spicy Mexican Mango, Beckett’s tasty crab cakes and oysters, and the Dubliner’s pulled pork Mac and Cheese. Make sure to grab a bratwurst sandwich from Biergarten or a delicious Tilapia sandwich from Waterstone Grill, and of course stop by Ulysses legendary raw bar filled with oysters and shrimp cocktail.… and many more tasty delights!
