El Día de los niños/Children’s Day
Celebrating Young Americans
Dynamic storyteller Elena Velasco introduces traditional Latin American stories in English and Spanish through a funny Mexican folktale. Children become part of the story, using props and even acting out characters. Velasco's interactive storytelling has been enjoyed by audiences throughout the Washington area. El Día de los niños is a celebration of childhood and bilingual literacy. Many nations observe this holiday (usually on April 30) as a special way to connect children to books. Bring your family and friends and join us for this entertaining presentation. Families and children welcome.
Sponsored by the Prince George's County Memorial Library System. This event is free and open to the public.
