Every so often, adults need an evening where they can go out, let their hair down, escape the kids and hear some really, really dirty jokes.

We cant promise raunch, but at Wordsmiths Books' first-ever Story-Time for Grownups, were bringing you a night thats definitely not for the kids. If youve ever experienced the sort of face-reddening, side-splitting narration that many of our Open Mic Night regulars are capable of, you have an idea what youre in for. Many of our favorite storytellers from Open Mic, including Will and Benji, will be bringing new material to the table to entertain that little part of you that revels in things a little off-color. On this special night out for adults, well be topping it all off with Chicago author Ben Tanzer. If you missed his last appearance at Wordsmiths Books, nows your chance to experience the humor and razor-sharp wit of Tanzers realistic and ultimately morally ambiguous tale of friendship, growing up, and making choices, Lucky Man. Tanzer will also be signing his book. Hes hilarious, and were pleased to have the opportunity to welcome the talent of Ben Tanzer as he joins many of our favorite local storytellers (more to be confirmed!) on this first-ever Wordsmiths Books Story-Time for Grownups.
