Story of the Year April 21, 2008

Formerly known as Big Blue Monkey, the St. Louis punk-pop band Story of the Year has built a phenomenal reputation (and fanbase) with its live performances. The group get crowds into an emotional frenzy with emotionally raw lyrics about love lost and the struggle to get out of stifling hometowns, delivered over furious drum battery and fast guitar-melodies. Monty Are I (formerly known as Monty's Fan Club and Monty) is an action rock band from Providence, RI. This musical group has three Vans Warped Tour stints under their belt, a strategic nationwide victory (over 6,000 bands) at the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands and a self-financed indie EP 'The Red Shift.' This band was formed out of the ashes of several independent bands in the winter of 1996. The quintet from Orlando plays pop/rock music similar to Jimmy Eat World and Third Eye Blind.
