SECRETS AND LIES
DENVER, – Stories on Stage presents “Secrets and Lies” as part of their Out of the Box series featuring John Hutton,Josh Robinson and Jeanine Serralles. Show times are 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 13 at Su Teatro @ the Denver Civic Theatre, 721 Santa Fe Drive, Denver. Single tickets are $25; tickets for groups of 10 or more are $20 per person and LoDough (scholarship) tickets are also available. “Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive…” These stories are guaranteed to amuse and surprise in equal measure, as they deal with the human propensity to stifle the truth, even when such lies gain us nothing.
The Lie by T.C Boyle, read by Josh Robinson
T.C Boyle has published twenty books of fictionand more than 100 short stories. He has been the recipient of a number of literary awards, including several O. Henry Awards.
Josh Robinson has performed at the Denver Center Theater Company and throughout Denver.
Walter John Harmon by E.L Doctorow, read by John Hutton
E.L. Doctorow’s work is published in more than 30 languages. His novels include Ragtime and Billy Bathgate. John Hutton begins season 19 with the Denver Center Theatre Company
Plus an original story by the Lighthouse Writers Workshop Contest winner Laurie Sleeper. Her story Naomi and The Writer will be read by Jeanine Serralles.
Jeanine Serralles credits include Off-Broadway: Stunning; Other New York: Perfect Harmony (co-creator), The Misanthrope, The Black Eyed, Hold Please, Paris Commune, Vendetta Chrome; Denver Center Theatre Company: 1001, Dusty, Big Bad World and The House of the Spirits; Film: Across the Universe, Two Lovers, All Good Things (upcoming) and Television appearances in Sex and the City and Guiding Light.
