Stories on Stage presents “Cupid's Arrow” on Sunday, February 10 at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. at the Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center, 721 Santa Fe Drive in Denver. Single tickets are $25; student tickets are $15; tickets for groups of 10 or more are $20 per person and LoDough (scholarship) tickets are also available. Erik Sandvold has graced the stages of the Denver Center Theatre Company, Arvada Center, Curious Theatre Company and the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. His talent and effort garnered Denver Post Ovation Awards for Best Solo Performance (Bubs and I Am My Own Wife); a Denver Post Ovation Award for Best Actor Comic Role (Take Me Out); and the Top Actor Award by the Rocky Mountain News. Mr. Sandvold has narrated over 500 books for the Library of Congress, including all seven books in the Harry Potter series. He is the second two-time recipient of the Alexander Scourby Narrator of the Year Award, having been honored in both 2006 and 2008.
Shannon Koob has appeared locally for the Denver Center Theatre Company in The Tempest, The Winter’s Tale, Picnic, Gross Indecency, Pierre, Bus Stop and A Christmas Carol. She has been seen in the New York productions of New House Under Construction and The Bridge in Scarsdaleand in the touring production of The Syringa Tree. Ms. Koob's television appearances include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, The Sopranos and Guiding Light. Her performance in The Syringa Tree brought her the Cincinnati Entertainment Award for Best Actress and the Independent Theatre Award.
Aaron Serotsky has appeared in the Broadway production of August: Osage County and in the National Tour of Titanic. He performed in the Denver Center Theatre Company productions ofVisiting Mr. Green, Wit, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Love’s Labor’s Lost, Hamlet, Pierre and A Christmas Carol. Mr. Serotsky performed on the international stage with the English Theatre of Vienna and the English Theatre of Frankfurt, he also lent his voice to Radio BBC for The Day that Lehman Died. His television credits include The Beautiful Life; Appearances: Law & Order, The Unusuals, Guiding Light and All My Children.
Martha Harmon Pardee has performed on the best area stages and has been seen in the Denver Center Theatre Company's Pride and Prejudice; Paragon Theatre Company's Bus Stop, The Glass Menagerie, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Mercy Seat; Curious Theatre Company's Upand Fiction; Arvada Center's Squall; Aurora Fox: The Retreat from Moscow and The Memory of Water and at the Galleria Theatre in Speed the Plow. She received a 2007 Denver Post Ovation Award, Best Actress, Drama (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?)and a 2005 Denver Post Ovation Nomination, Best Actress, Drama (The Mercy Seat). Ms. Pardee has recorded over 1,250 books on tape for the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped for which she received the 2011 Digital Platinum Award, LA Braille Institute, the 2004 Alexander Scourby Award, Best Fiction Narrator and the 2003 Torgi Literary Award, Best Fiction Narrator.
