In conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the Richmond Fire Department, this photography exhibition examines firefighting, public safety and fire disasters in 20th century Richmond. With a broad focus on the modernization of the Richmond Fire Department from the late 19th century to the present, 'Stop, Drop and Roll' specifically addresses technological and social changes within the ranks, community involvement and outreach by firefighters, and notable Richmond fires and their aftermaths.
