Mississippi Invitational artist Philip Jackson demonstrates his creative process of painting a still life. During the event, Jackson demonstrates how he begins with studies based on observation. Then, he develops the canvas by working in layers and making color choices that create the illusion of atmosphere around the objects he paints. Audience members may come and go during the demonstration to observe the artist's progress. Lunches will be available for purchase in The Palette Café by Viking.
