STG Presents: Cultures of China Festival of Spring February 3, 2012

STG presents Cultures of China: Festival of Spring on Friday, February 3, 2012 at The Paramount Theatre in Seattle, celebrating the Chinese New Year extravaganza of the Year of the Dragon.

Organized and supported by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office (OCAO) of the State Council of P.R. China, and the China Oversea Exchanges Association (COEA), Chinese Spring Festival celebration “Cultures of China, Festival of Spring” performances were held in about ten major countries for overseas Chinese during the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year month, mostly in January and February.

From January to February 2012, Youth Ensemble of Hubei Province along with several famous Chinese singers and three of the most famous Beijing opera singers will tour North America to present highly acclaimed performances including folk songs, folk dances and Beijing opera, and send Chinese New Year wishes to overseas Chinese and audiences all over the world.
