What does intermarriage mean to Jews, Judaism, and the future of the Jewish People? How do parents, rabbis, educators, friends and others struggle with the challenges, dilemmas and opportunities presented by the marriage of Jews with non-Jews? How can we welcome the intermarried, invite conversion to Judaism, promote the raising of children as Jews, and teach a strong preference for Jews marrying Jews?
Dr. Steven Cohen, one of the leading sociologists and demographers of American Judaism today, will answer these questions at Congregation Beth Elohim on Sunday, April 13 at 11:00 AM. Dr. Cohen will share his latest research on marriage patterns and Jewish identity development in an interesting and important discussion for all to enjoy. Bagels and coffee will be provided. Minimum $5 suggested donation.
