Step It Up Alberta is a non-partisan group calling
for leadership on environmental issues from the
people who can make the most difference:
governments, corporations, and institutions.
We want to see real action against climate change:
- an absolute cap on greenhouse gas emissions,
- a commitment to significant reductions in the short and long term,
&
- investment in a carbon-conscious economy.
Please join us as we work on the following three campaigns:
- Green Fingers: documenting citizen support
for environmental issues through video and photos
- We Didn’t Wait Until 2020: A write-in campaign
to criticize the Alberta government’s long timeline for
reducing emissions and to ask for investment in
alternative energy.
- Community Leadership: A package of resources
to facilitate environmental awareness in community
settings, beginning with faith-based groups
Our next meeting will be held on Feb. 9th at 7PM
at the Pembina Institute office downtown at
608 7 Street SW (1/2 block north from the LRT line
on 7th Street SW). Please RSVP if planning to attend.
