Fr. Tadeusz Pachlczyk, director of Educattion, National Catholic Bioethics Center, Philadelphia
Jones Hall
For 18 years, Wesnesdays in Lent have been highlighted by
a series of lectures at the University of Saint Thomas. Started
and co-sponsored by Margaret Hotze of Veritas Catholic Bookstore,
the series has covered a wide range of topics important to Catholic
life. This year's topic, Annointing of the Sick, approaches a keener
understanding of suffering as unfolding within the scriptures as
likewise the tradtion of the Church. It is vital that members of the
faith serach for a deeper grasp of this universal experience of
suffering, as well as the ministry to the suffering provided through
Christ's body, the Church, and grow in appreciation of this
sacrament.
