Visitors to the Rural Life Centre's popular Steam & Vintage Weekend on 25-26 September are in for an additional treat on the Saturday - around 30 members
of the Sunbeam Talbot Darracq Register will be celebrating the club's 60th anniversary at the museum, bringing their cars, dating from 1903 to 1935,
from all over England.
Other engines will be on hand - miniature steam engines, classic tractors, motorcycles, models and stationary engines driving bygone agricultural
equipment of all shapes and sizes. Many of these will be steam driven and of course the Old Kiln Light Railway's venerable steam loco, Elouise, will be
transporting visitors around the site.
Tilmow 2010 will be showing off vintage mowers and the Timber Group will be demonstrating their skills in the woodyard. Members of the Surrey
Association of Woodturners are back to impress visitors with the beauty of hand-turned household items in an exhibition and during continuous
demonstrations in the museum's conservation workshop.
The Steam & Vintage Weekend, organised by the Central Southern Vintage Agricultural Club, is on 25-26 September, from 10am to 5pm each day at the
Rural Life Centre, an accredited museum of village life, mid-way between Tilford and Frensham in Reeds Road, off the A287 three miles south of
Farnham. For further information telephone 01252 795571.
