This program will cover the snakes of New Jersey with a focus on the northern half of the state, with particular attention to venomous snakes: Timber Rattlesnake and Northern Copperhead. This program will be presented by Kris Schantz. Kris is the principal zoologist for the N.J. Division of Fish and Wildlife, Endangered and Nongame Species Program (ENSP). Her current responsibilities include monitoring and protecting woodland raptors, and Timber Rattlesnakes, and Northern Copperheads, although she responds to all snake-related concerns in N.J.'s northern region.
