Save the date for a Must-See Music Festival, March 23-24, 2012!

Statesboro is hosting a Music Festival celebrating all genres of music: Bluegrass, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Rock, Christian, Country, Reggae and Rap. The music festival will be a two-day event hosting a broad range of musical styles and talents for a diverse audience.

The purpose of the festival is to create an annual music festival for Bulloch County and the surrounding areas. Increase cultural awareness and expression through music and community. Provide a platform to encourage economic growth within the community, specifically in relation to the tourism and retail industries. Provide a family friendly event to inspire an increase in community involvement.

Battle of the School Bands is a music competition open to all High Schools across the state of Georgia. The winning band will have the opportunity to perform at the Statesboro Music Festival in Statesboro, GA on Friday, March 23, 2012. To enter the competition bands must register their interest by submitting the Expression of Interest Form and will be required to submit their musical expression by way of a DVD. The performances will be broadcasted on YouTube through the Statesboro Music Festival website and Facebook page. The band that receives the most votes will WIN and have the opportunity to perform at the Statesboro Music Festival. The winning band will travel to Statesboro and spend the night on Friday, March 23, 2012. The performance is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Statesboro Music Festival. Special accommodations including discounted group rates will be provided to the band members and band director. For more information, please email info@statesboromusicfestival.com.
