Start with the Arts Family Festival May 30, 2008

Vibrant musical and stage performances, art workshops, and a children’s art exhibition will bring family fun to Union Station via VSA arts’ annual Start with the Arts Family Festival on Friday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Performances include: pop vocal favorites from the family quartet The MacIntyre Family Singers; a concert version of the acclaimed original children’s musical “Nobody’s Perfect” that premiered at the Kennedy Center last October; a dance duet by Lisa Bufano and Sonsheree Giles that examines the relationship between physical transformation and identity; original poetry and music from Our Time Theater; and jazz favorites from the Justin Kauflin Trio.
