StarStruck Theatre invites the greater Bay Area community to "saddle up the kinfolk and high-tail it" to the Saddle Rack dance hall and saloon in Fremont for their spring fundraiser.
"For this year's shindig, we're throwing open the doors to families with youth, ages 12 and up," said Lori Stokes, artistic director of StarStruck Theatre. "As a youth musical theatre organization, we're especially pleased that youth will be able to join the fun this year."
The fun begins with a buffet dinner, then continues with line dancing, bull riding, silent auction, raffle prize drawings, and a sneak peek at the summer show, 'Guys and Dolls.'
Funds raised from the evening's festivities, as in past years, will fund scholarships for young artist’s production tuition, production costs for shows, and help purchase stadium seating for the outdoor amphitheatre at Ohlone College where the summer mainstage productions are performed. Last year's event raised enough funds to support 10 scholarships, among other projects.
