Brisbane four-piece, Starlight Theatre – formerly known as Falling Short - could be described as a cosmic mixture/violent clash of Unwritten Law, Anberlin, Angels and Airwaves and a smidge of U2..... Having formed in 2006 under the guise of Falling Short, the band have grown from strength to strength having played over 300 shows including landing high profile supports with American rockers Switchfoot, MxPx and Antiskeptic. The four-piece also released a self titled EP independently which spawned two singles- 'Supernova', which received mild airplay across the country and throughout Paris and New York; and 'Billboards', which held the coveted number one position on the Triple J Unearthed National Charts for four weeks. .... As lead guitarist, Colin Moore said – a change in name was inevitable. "The name Falling Short had taken on so many forms. Josh and I have been playing together under that name since we were 17/18. We've changed members and direction so many times"..... "We wanted a name that encapsulated where we wanted to go with our sound". And a sound the band is really excited about. .... Having been shacked up in to the studio for the most part of this year, Starlight Theatre's come out the other end with an impressive 4- track EP which is due for release in October
