Once a month, the Challenger Space Center hosts a fun family evening featuring an entertaining and interactive Stargazing program using high-powered telescopes. The doors open at 7:00p and at approximately 7:30p, the telescopes are ready for viewing. The program consists of a slide presentation on the constellations and planets, with information on upcoming sky events. Included are stories of the night sky, featuring folklore from many different cultures. Attendees can then look through several different high-powered telescopes at the moon, planets, star clusters, etc. Stargazing is an outdoor program, so consider bringing a water bottle and lawn chairs or blankets. In case of inclement weather, please call before scheduled program. Dates and times are subject to change with inclement weather or cloudy nights, call to verify.
