Star Party with Texas Barbeque May 14, 2011

Enjoy an evening at the Arboretum with food, drinks and star gazing on Saturday, May 14. Arrive between 7 and 8:30 p.m. to enjoy a picnic barbeque dinner. Afterward, stroll through the forest to the Arboretum’s Meadow Deck for viewing of the near-full moon and night sky. Members of the Houston Astronomical Society will be on-site with telescopes to show us the near-full moon, nearby planets and other celestial objects.
Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to stroll approximately a quarter mile from the building to the meadow where the telescopes will be set up. No dogs at this event. Barbeque generously donated by Legends BBQ. Beer donated by Saint Arnold Brewing Company.
