Bassist, composer, arranger, producer, bandleader and film score composer, Stanley Clarke is one of the most celebrated bass players in the world. For over thirty years, Clarke has received virtually every honor - including a Grammy, seven Grammy nominations and three Emmy nominations. He was voted Best Bassist by Playboy for 10 consecutive years and is a member of Guitar Player's "Gallery of Greats." Known for his ferocious dexterity and consummate musicality, Clarke is a true pioneer in jazz and jazz fusion. He has played with the best - Horace Silver, Art Blakey, Joe Henderson, Pharaoh Sanders, George Duke, Billy Cobham, McCoy Tyner, Stan Getz - and he was an original member with Chick Corea in Return To Forever, changing the role of the electric and acoustic bass in the jazz world.
