The Stanford Latin Jazz Ensemble presents their Fall Concert on the Stanford campus at the Campbell Recital Hall. Formed in 2008 by director Murray Low,
the ensemble's stellar work earned it a prestigous University SiCa grant to further its mission and work.
The ensemble plays classic and contemporary works from both the Latin and North American songbook. The group plays music from the entire spectrum of Afro-Latin music and jazz, including son-montuno, rumba, religious/folkloric songs, timba, comparsa, songo, salsa, boleros, jazz and funk. The music is for both dancing and listening and is guaranteed to get you moving.
