Stand With Israel July 6, 2010

Once again, Israel's enemies will take to the street in front of the Israeli Consulate in San Francisco to spread their lies and their hate. This time, their pretext is the arrival in Washington of the democratically elected leader of the world's only Jewish state, Prime Minister Netanyahu.
This protest is being organized by International ANSWER, whose local leader Richard Becker has openly endorsed Palestinian violence and has expressed his heartfelt desire that Hamas would have weapons such as fighter jets at its disposal (presumably because Qassam rockets and suicide bombers haven't killed enough Israelis quickly enough for him).
And, as ANSWER and its allies have made clear on numerous occasions, they are no more "peace activists" than the Turkish IHH members on the Mavi Marmara. Because they don't support peace with a Jewish state of Israel under any conditions at all; rather, they support ongoing war against Israel and are willing to condemn another generation of Palestinians to poverty, violence and hatred in that effort.

StandWithUs/San Francisco Voice for Israel will be there to stand against the lies and the hatred. We stand for Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state. We stand for peace between a Jewish state of Israel and its Arab neighbors. We stand for the shared values of America and Israel-- democracy and freedom.

We will have some flags and signs available, please feel free to bring your own as well.

REMEMBER: If you choose to bring your own signs, please no signs or graphics offensive to any racial or ethnic group including but not limited to Arabs, Islam, or Palestinians in general. Signs in violation of our policies do not help the pro-Israel cause; we condemn, and disassociate ourselves from, any such signs or messages. The other side will use any such signs to defame the entire pro-Israel community. Also we specifically dissociate ourselves from anyone delivering any hate speech, or threats of violence towards those on the other side, and we ask that those in attendance let us know of anyone violating these guidelines. Let the other side be the one to provide the "YouTube moments".
