Effective utilisation of human resources is paramount to an organisations success. Recruiting, selecting and inducting staffs are important initial stages in this process. How can you ensure you attract the right applicants and then select those most suitable? How can you then enable the successful candidate to quickly reach peak performance? This course answers each of these questions and equips you with processes and skills to ensure you have the best people for your organisations needs. You will also learn how to retain your high performers, thereby maximising the benefits that can be gained from these staff members. This course is designed for managers and supervisors who are involved in hiring staff. This includes the steps involved in recruiting, selecting and inducting staff. We will provide guidelines for how to determine appropriate staffing level for an organisation and then focus specifically on identifying the requirements for individual jobs. Once these requirements are established, we will discuss the different ways in which suitable applicants can be sourced. Skills required for identifying a suitable applicant are then considered in detail, including the use of selection tests and interviewing. Finally we will consider how to induct new staff so that they become productive quickly. Details of this event may be subject to change.
