Stable Banks, Stable Finance: The Canadian Experience June 23, 2009

The Canada Institute and the Economic Studies Program of the Brookings Institution will host a program to examine Canada’s overall financial system, particularly its approach to financial market regulation. The panel will feature Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of Canada; His Excellency Michael Wilson, Canadian Ambassador to the United States and former Canadian Minister of Finance; Nick Le Pan, former Canadian Superintendent of Financial Institutions; Barry P. Bosworth, Senior Fellow, Economic Studies, The Brookings Institution; Douglas J. Elliott, Fellow, Economic Studies, The Brookings Institution; and former Wilson Center public policy scholar Jodi White.
