Wish lists and tags for both Adopt-A-Family and individuals are available in the St. Mary Immaculate Gym before and after all weekend masses in November. Cash, check or gift card donations are welcome! All gifts are due back to the Gym on Sunday, December 4 by 1:30 pm so distribution can begin.
Each year, St. Mary Immaculate’s Giving Tree program distributes over 1,000 gifts to organizations who serve over 750 disadvantaged families/individuals at Christmas time. Recipients include patrons of the Plainfield Interfaith Food Pantry, residents of Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rosewood Care Center and Victory Centre; Catholic Charities Daybreak, a shelter in Joliet for the homeless; teens from Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica & National Shrine in Chicago; Aunt Martha’s Youth Service Center; Forest Park Community Center in Joliet and Guardian Angel Home in Joliet
“Every year, hundreds of people help hundreds of people through the collaborative efforts of our parish Giving Tree project. Love shared through one gift magnifies in the hearts of the recipient, often beyond what we will ever know or can imagine.” said Nancy Sinclair, Giving Tree Coordinator. “God is always good. May God bless us one and all!”
