St Catherines Island Collection October 1, 2008

Fernbank Museum of Natural History is the new home to a world-class archaeological collection. The St. Catherines Island Foundation and Edward John Noble Foundation Collection is the product of 30 years of research led by Dr. David Hurst Thomas, Curator of North American Archaeology at the American Museum of Natural History. Under the direction of Dennis Blanton, Fernbank Curator of Native American Archaeology, artifacts and records from this work will be used to create new exhibits and programs that bring the story of St. Catherines Island to a wide audience.
