Spring Tree Walk April 20, 2011

Retired Forester and Arboretum Trail Guide Jim Webb leads this seasonal workshop on basic tree identification. The 3-hour program begins in the classroom learning tools and techniques, moving outdoors for a look at our most common trees. Outside, students will learn sight identification of major trees of the region, using common names, and with a special emphasis on that season's most apparent and predictable characteristics.
