Las Cruces, NM – The Branigan Cultural Center proudly presents the Spring 2009 Cultural Connections Fair on Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 9 am to Noon. Area arts and cultural non-profit organizations will be on hand to share information about their programs, activities, events, membership, and volunteer opportunities. The event is held in the courtyard and walkway between the Branigan Cultural Center and the Museum of Art.
“It is a great way for residents and visitors to meet representatives from the many wonderful arts and cultural groups in our area” stated Garland Courts, Branigan Cultural Center Manager. “The Saturday Farmers' and Crafts Market draws large numbers and we tap into that to provide a high traffic location that’s ideal for the Cultural Fair,” Courts added.
The first Cultural Connections Fair was held in September 2008 and representatives from a wide range of groups participated. Choir groups, spinners, weavers, theater groups, artist organizations, history organizations, museums, and libraries were all on hand.
The Fair is free and open to the public. Additional exhibitors are welcome and should contact Cultural Center for more information and registration forms.
The Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main Street, is located at the north end of the Downtown Mall in Las Cruces.
