Once a cattle farm, salt pond and more recently slated for high rise
development, Bair Island in San Mateo County has survived many types of land use and now needs all hands on dirt to restore it back to wetland habitat! First, you¹ll paddle canoes to this wonderful, secret spot with an ecologist from Save the Bay. Once there, you¹ll remove invasive iceplant and collect native plant seeds as you learn about the flora and fauna that call Bair Island home.
Fee: $35 per person
Adults and families with children 10 and up (all children must be supervised)
