Spring Biomedical Speaker to Discuss Public Health Mycology at College Dr. Mary Brandt ’76 from the Centers for Disease Control to Lecture April 21, 2010

Dr. Mary Brandt ’76, chief of the Mycotic Diseases Branch of the Division of Food borne, Bacterial and Mycotic Diseases at the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will present the lecture, “The Fungus Among Us: An Introduction to Public Health Mycology” on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 4 p.m. in the East Parlor, St. Joseph Hall.
In her lecture, Dr. Brandt will discuss prominent medically important fungi and the role of the CDC in prevention and control of their associated diseases will be discussed.
