"Spotlight UB" Concert Series: Chris Norman Ensemble March 31, 2007

The Chris Norman Ensemble is a quartet led by Nova Scotia native, flutist, piper, composer, and educator Chris Norman. This versatile ensemble presents a broad range of music that centers on the traditional music of Maritime Canada, Quebec and the traditions that have nourished it: dances and airs of Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, the U.S. Renowned for his expressive playing, engaging personality, and breadth of repertoire, his keen historical sense leaves audiences with a deeper appreciation of how traditional music sings across the centuries with timeless beauty, wit, and vitality.
