The cast of the Soapbox Theatre Company is desperately working to polish their annual fundraising production of “A Christmas Carol.” But Scrooge wants to read his lines in Spanish, Tiny Tim is not so tiny any mores and some actors don’t want to bother with English accents. They may regain some valuable grant monies if the visiting NEA inspector who observes their performance deems them worthy of funding. When no one can imagine it getting any worse, sure enough scenery falls, actors get injured, and inspectors are accosted. From one catastrophe to another...the action never stops in this outrageous farce.

The cast, under the direction of Wade Livingston includes Anne Myers (Zorah Bloch), Dan Connell (Sidney Carlton), Kerry Beebe (Dorothy TreeHapgood), Jack Wefso (Larry Vauxhall), Dell Domnik (Phil Hewlitt), Keithwayne B. Johnson (Walter E. Parsons), Dan Bray (Kevin Emery), Theresa Dwyer Reid (M.J.(Mary Jane) McCann), Kelly Reeves (Betty Andrews), Zachary Page (Bart Frances), David Trudeau, (Wayne Wellacre) and Jaylon Muniz (Luther Beatty).

Daniel Sullivan was born in Wray, Colorado and raised in San Francisco, where he graduated from San Francisco State University. Sullivan worked as both an actor and director with the Lincoln Center Repertory Company in the late 1960s and 1970s. His directorial debut there was A.R. Gurney's Scenes from American Life for which Mr. Sullivan won a Drama Desk Award. After two years as Resident Director of the Seattle Repertory Theatre, he assumed the position of Artistic Director in 1981, serving until 1997. It was there that he directed the first production of his own play, “Inspecting Carol.”

From 1989 to 2006 Sullivan was nominated for four Drama Desk Awards and five Tony Awards, taking home the 2001 Tony Award for his direction of the Broadway production of “Proof.”
