The start of a new school year usually comes with a lengthy checklist of things to do like shopping, orientation and doctor visits. This year, Dignity Health’s™ Urgent Care centers in Ahwatukee, Gilbert and Queen Creek are making one of those “To Do’s” a little easier.
Each location is offering sports physicals for all ages for just $25, and not only are walk-in appointments welcome anytime, but there’s also a convenient Call Ahead Care Program. Simply call your preferred location and the Urgent Care will call you when it’s your turn to see the doctor, so you can wait in the comfort of your own home.
All school-aged children must undergo a sports physical in order to participate in middle and high school athletics. Each school provides a specific form to collect the information required for their athletic program. Please be sure to bring your child’s form with you to the physical. A typical sports physical includes a basic eye exam; your child’s height and weight; blood pressure and resting pulse; temperature; and respiratory rate. X-rays and urine and blood tests will be excluded from the physical.
All locations are open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., every day of the year including holidays.
