What a better way to pass a summer day than with a little bit of exercise! On July 23, the Children's Museum in Easton will be hosting a Sports and Fitness Drop in Day. We will have special guests like the Gentle Giant Portable Stair Truck and Slide as well as a visit from a Brockton Rox Baseball player at 11:30am for everyone to meet. Want to test your physical fitness? Then be sure to take the Gentle Giant Challenge. Climb the stairs on one side of this portable staircase and slide down the other side from 10:30 to 3:00. At 1:00 pm the Museum will also be receiving a visit from the Beantown Jumpers, a Boston based competitive double dutch jump rope team. They'll be here to show us some of their moves that they use in competitions, which are a great way to keep fit.
Drop in Days activities feature hands-on arts, crafts and science activities. Most are held in the Museum's outdoor space, weather permitting. This space also offers a perennial garden, play area, a stage and shady spots to eat lunch or snacks for those days when it's just too nice to stay inside the whole time. "Drop in Days" are free with admission and any age can participate. The activities run from 10:30 AM to 3 PM. No registration is required.
Summer hours at the Museum are Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm, and Saturday 12 to 4 pm. Admission is $6 per person, under one is free. We reserve the right to reschedule appearances and programs due to weather or unforeseen events.
