Sporting Clay tournament to benefit Noah’s Hope February 25, 2012

We’re going to have a Sporting Clay tournament to benefit Noah’s Hope – and we hope you’ll join us!

On Saturday February 25th from 9:00am until 1:00pm we’ll shoot clays at Seneca Hunt Club in Seneca, Illinois (about 1 hour Southwest of Downers Grove).

The cost will be $50 per shooter which will include 50 rounds of sporting clays, ear protection, food and drink. Shooters are responsible for their own gun and shells. If you don’t have a gun, see if you can share one with someone – this really is a lot of fun – and don’t think you have to be an expert shooter.
Some of you may remember that last year we took the “leftover/extra” money from the Sox Bus Outing and donated it to Noah’s Hope – a local charity created to support research and raise funds to fight Batten disease. So now we’re going to try again and raise some more funds and have some fun doing it.
We’re going to have trophies for first, second and third place positions but we’re sure you’ll have a good time even if you don’t hit a thing. Peter’s looking into a cup trophy too so if we decide to make this an annual thing we’ll engrave the winners name on the cup – and the winner can drag it around town for a while – kind like Lord Stanley’s.
One note: no alcoholic beverages will be distributed until all shooting is completed. We’re going to have a good time and raise some money for a good cause but we’re not messing around with safety.
