Sponge Celebrates Spring with Family Event “Kites & Cakes” April 26, 2009

Spring is in the air and Sponge is celebrating this glorious season—and kite-flying traditions from around the world—by hosting the free public event “Kites & Cakes.” Offered in partnership with Seattle-based Wink Cupcakes, children in attendance will have a chance to craft paper kites, decorate (and eat!) scrumptious cupcakes, and wiggle off some energy in movement-themed mini language classes in Spanish, Mandarin, French and Japanese.

“Kites & Cakes" is geared toward children ages newborn to 7 years old and their families.
