James Grebl, Ph.D., an art historian, presents a four-part series surveying the artistic creations of the medieval world from the roots of the Byzantine era to the threshold of the Italian Renaissance. Beautifully illustrated with images of the key monuments and artifacts, the lectures explore the forms and functions of artworks that express the religious and political dimensions of their times.
