The orchestral folk ensemble Spirits of the Red City returns to the Bryant Lake Bowl Theater for their first full Minneapolis performance in a year. After releasing their first record this January at the sold-out theater, the ensemble spent much of the ensuing year traveling and performing for folks across the country. They return home to debut music from upcoming releases and a collaborative theater work that will open the performance. The theater work is entitled The Silent Bell. It is a full-scale handmade theatrical production that explores present memory, identity, absence, and the lost and found. The half-hour piece is a collaboration among Spirits of the Red City players and members of the local theater community.
