The SPIFFY Awards recognize the most outstanding telecommunications start-ups in Silicon Valley, as judged by the members of the Service Provider Forum (SPiF) of the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley. Companies nominated for the 8 award categories will be listed on the website shortly.

The Edison Award for Most Innovative Start-Up
Ground Breaker Award for Engineering Excellence
The San Andreas Award for Most Disruptive Technology
The Fred & Ginger Award for Most Supportive Carrier
Graham Bell Award for Best Communication Solution
The Core Award for Best Fixed Telecom Opportunity
Prodigy Award for the Most Successful SPiF Alumni
The Zephyr Award for Best Mobile Opportunity

In 2008, the SPiF and the Telecom Council has reviewed approximately 80 young telecom companies. By simply being invited to SPiF, these start-ups were already filtered as the young companies that have the ideas, relevance, and traction that most appeal to communication service providers from around the globe. And at the SPIFFYs, we honor the best of the best.

At this Awards event, the Telecom Council and SPiF will announce outstanding companies from the presenting alumni, and honor their innovation and execution. As our 2nd annual awards event, our SPIF members judged every presenter from 2008, across 8 award categories. You will find the evening entertaining, interesting, and a great opportunity to meet with an impressive crop of entrepreneurs, telcos, and major equipment vendors alike.

We will kick off the event with a professional comedian who will poke fun at the dynamism and culture that is Silicon Valley. Mark Pitta takes on the Telecom industry and Silicon Valley.

Free for members, $50 for non-members.
