Spenger's Fresh Fish Grotto will host a Chefs Dinner featuring paired wines from the Rodney Strong Vineyards on Thursday, September 15, 2011, beginning at 7:00 PM.
The evening’s prix fixe menu, prepared by Spenger's Chef Patrick Kehler, will consist of five courses, each paired with the perfect Rodney Strong wine. The dinner will be comprised of Blackened Ahi Tuna with chili infused sesame oil, Asian pears, and pine nuts with a 2010 Rodney Strong, Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma; Dungeness Crab Cake Salad with mixed greens, endive, and a red wine vinaigrette with a 2009 Rodney Strong, Chardonnay, Sonoma; Pan Seared Wild Salmon with wild mushrooms and potato au gratin with a 2009 Rodney Strong, Pinot Noir, Sonoma; Braised Beef Short Rib Pot Roast with green beans, baby carrots, and Red Bliss potatoes with a Rodney Strong, Reserve Cabernet, Sonoma; and Bananas Flambé with vanilla ice cream, cherry flambé with a Rodney Strong, Sonoma Port.
