Spenger's Fresh Fish Grotto will host a Chefs Dinner with paired wines on Thursday, November 17, 2011, beginning at 7:00 PM.
The evening’s prix fixe menu, prepared by Spenger's Chef Patrick Kehler, will consist of four courses, each paired with the perfect California wine. The cost of the dinner, with wine, is $50.00 per guest, excluding tax and gratuity. Call (510) 845-7771 to reserve seats.
The dinner will be comprised of Butternut Squash Soup paired with a 2010 Trinity Oaks, Sauvignon Blanc, St Helena; Dungeness Crab Stuffed Monterey Artichoke with lemon aioli, toasted bread crumbs and a 2010 Murphy Goode, Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma; Deep Fried Turkey and Roasted Lobster Tail with corn bread stuffing, green beans, wild mushrooms and a 2007 Murphy Goode, Cabernet, Sonoma; and a Duet of Pumpkin and Apple Pies with cranberries Flambé and a 2009 Firestone, Riesling, Santa Ynez Valley.
