For the first time ever in Colorado, this is your chance to participate in a two day speedskating camp at The Ice Ranch, Dec 27-28. The camp will include a skills progression beginning with the most fundamental skills on through more advance skills. A concentrated couple of days is the best way to take your skating to the next level!

Each day will begin with off ice instruction followed by on ice time to work on skills. The middle of the day will consist of some combination of video analysis, a sharpening clinic, additional off ice instruction, and additional on ice time. Each day will finish with a competition. Over the two days, the competition will include all the standard events,
1500M, 500M, 1000M, and if time allows, a super final. As much as possible, participants will be grouped by ability to create competitive races. Scoring will be on a points format.

On Sunday, the camp will conclude with a dryland session. Total ice time for the camp and competition will be around 8 hours. Lunch will be provided both days. The schedule is still subject to modification, but the approximate times will likely be:
Sat, Dec 27, 8a - 4:45p
Sun, Dec 28, 10a - 6:30p

We are fortunate to have the camp lead by Patrick Wentland: Three times National Short Track Champion and two time North American Short Track Champion, (Senior class) 1988-1993. World Team Member 1987, 1992; set a number of records and finished 4th at World Short Track Championships in Denver, CO, 1992. Eastern Regional Coach for Short Track, 1993; appointed Assistant Coach in 1997, Head Coach in 1998. Team Leader, 1998 Olympic Team. A member of the International Coaching Committee since 1999.
