Trigger Happy August 15 2009 7:30 to 10 PM $5.00 cover
Trigger Happy http://www.triggerhappyband.com/home.htm
Put on your party dress & powder your nose for the Tallahassee-based trio, Trigger Happy!
Trigger Happy's rich, unique, sound, distinctive original compositions, and colorful stage presence are the result of the fusion of the varied styles and experience of seasoned performers Bodega Bob Homme, Hollywood Archie Hinton, and Naomi “Sugar” Harris
Trigger Happy’s high-energy performances are comprised of original songs crafted by the group’s primary songwriters, Homme and Hinton. The team’s original songs are artfully crafted from the precious metal of life's stark experiences and cured in the furnace of quirky imagination. They range in style from the funny to the gritty with love songs are more reminiscent of whiskey and wet spots than flowers and Hallmark verses.
The band’s exceptional musicianship is evident from the first note. They are definitely the Big Bend’s Best performers of original music and have earned the right to be called los guitaros sicarios (the guitar gunslingers)!
Harris's jazz roots are apparent in her aggressive bass lines and often non-traditional patterns. Her accurate harmonics and rhythmic punch form the low end structure for the band and her steamy alto vocals compliment the trio's wide & tight harmony.
Bodega Bob’s straight-ahead rhythm and barroom-bass vocals provide the springboard for Hinton’s crystal clear tenor vocal lines, the band’s smoothly blended harmonies, and Hinton’s precise and intricate lead riffs that so masterfully carve the detail of the distinct Trigger Happy sound.
The special blend of musicianship, original songs, love of performing, and raw energy combine to make Trigger Happy one of the most enjoyable shows in the Southeast. Don’t miss them!

Cowlick September 5 2009 7:30 to 10 PM $5.00 Cover
Cow Lick is made up of a group of friends who have been making their own musical fun for almost ten years: Bobby Cutts - vocals, Tin-sandwich / Daryl Langston - guitar, vocals / Carrie Hamby - upright bass, vocals / Dennis Hardin - banjo, dobro, vocals / David Leporati - mandolin, vocals / Adam Straubinger - fiddle, vocals
They count among their musical influences: The Stanley Brothers, the Louvin Brothers, Hazel Dickens, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, Lefty Frizzell, Willie Nelson, Red Allen, the Earl Brothers, Wailin' Elroys, Doc Watson, John Hartford, and most of all each other's sense of humor. Songwriting by Dave, Bobby & Adam contributes to a very unique and original sound.
High (and low) lonesome harmonies and sweet picking make Cow Lick one of the hardest-driving and best-loved bluegrass bands around. You can catch us wherever friendly folk like to gather and whoop around the bonfire, as well as downtown venues, rural festivals, little known pubs from Wakulla County to south Georgia, anywhere they'll let us set up our brand of bovinian madness.

Charles Gear Date to be Announced $5.00 Cover
Charlie is a native Floridian and his love for music grew during his life as he traveled and lived on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, in San Francisco, and in Central America. A serious injury claimed years of playing but Charlie went on to perform again, and was named Best Instrumental Composer in both 2003 and 2005 by the Songwriters Showcase of America. He is best known for his Celtic and world styles of music…
