SOBs is proud to host "Boogaloo! Monthly Party in NYC!" Launched by DJ Turmix in January of 2011, this traveling fiesta is bringing back Latin soul and bugalú!–the sound that sprang from the street corners, the transistor radios, the pool halls and the clubs of 1960s El Barrio. Along with DJ Turmix, Boogaloo! Monthly Party includes SPANGLISH FLY, NYC's newest 11 piece boogaloo sensation playing intoxicating live sets of old school grooves.

Spanglish Fly will be celebrating their new release, a digital single produced by Harvey Averne, legend of Fania records, the man behind the boards for immortals like Ray Barretto and Eddie Palmieri. "Arvito" and Spanglish Fly are launching two originals, "Brooklyn Boogaloo" and "My Shingaling Boy"–tracks that keep their feet firmly in the old world while updating boogaloo for the next generation of fans! Boogaloo maestro DJ Turmix will be spinning classic and rare 45 rpm records from back in the day, sure to keep the crowd dancing y gozando between sets, and into the night.
