Support SMI’s 8th grade class as they raise funds for their spring field trip to Chicago. An 8th grade tradition, the entire class has their last "field trip" as students of St. Mary Immaculate school to Chicago for three days and two nights.
It’s an opportunity to experience, to tie in, the many interesting things about the great City of Chicago that the 8th grade teachers, Mrs. Feigh and Mrs. Hamer, have included in what the students studied throughout the school year. They’ll visit sites such as The Frank Lloyd Wright Museum, (Willis) Sears Tower, The Chicago Board of Trade, The Chicago Stock Exchange, Lincoln Park Zoo, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, the Pullman District and many other great things Chicago has to offer.
Throughout the school year, the 8th graders hold fundraisers to help defray the cost of the trip. The Spaghetti Dinner is one of the last main events the 8th graders hold as a class and requires a lot of hard work and time from both students and their parents.
